The holiday shopping parties are revving up around the city, filled with promises of merriment and good deals. And though holly is great and all, it's clear that retailers are hoping you'll deck the halls with new merch. We'll let you know about those of interest, and even if your pocketbook is not exactly overflowing, you can at least grab some spiked punch along the way.
For those who are able to slip out of work for a little bit (or, hey, with the economy in the crapper, many don't have a job to go to!), Alternative Apparel has an alternative for you Thursday, December 18 from 1pm-6pm at its Limited Addition space (1555 North Cahuenga Boulevard). Hosted by Nylon mag, tomorrow marks the first annual Skip Work Holiday Music Festival with performances by WarPaint, Wind and Sea and Dawes. Mix, mingle, grab a beverage, and be glad that Alternative has options in the $20 range. A portion of any purchases benefit Global Green USA through Monday, December 22. [RackedWire]
