Boutique Jane Doe at 8478 West 3rd Street has recently become Jane Doe John Doe, adding menswear and a slew of collections from Project Runway designers, including Leanne Marshall, Korto Momolu, Jerell Scott and Stella Barbarella. In fact, Scott is now the co-owner of the boutique, partnering with owner/designer Ani Lee.
Originally with a focus on dresses, now the shop plays host to up-and-coming designers and features one-of-a-kinds (such as the Drew Bird hats, ranging from $275-$450). The store has also expanded to include a back room and added a mirrored mosaic which gives it a glossier feel. Also, in-store is Scott's foray into menswear, which looks much how the designer dressed on the show—highly textural and embellished military-style coats, blazers and sweaters.
