BCBG Lays Off 10% of Employees

BCBG is feeling strapped, and not by its Hervé Léger bandage dresses. CAN reports that BCBGMaxAzriaGroup, which now has "22 labels in its fashion portfolio...laid 125 employees about two weeks ago, or nearly 10 percent of its workforce," according to an anonymous company spokesperson. The spokesperson told the fashion trade: “Everyone across the board has cut orders...Every [apparel] company you talk to is going through the same thing. One good thing is we are diversified in a variety of categories and price points.” [CAN]
