Designers Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce will open their 6,893-square-foot, Dordoni Architetti Studio-designed D&G flagship boutique on Robertson Boulevard today. WWD reports the shop will carry "the brand’s full assortment of men’s and women’s apparel, underwear, beachwear, accessories, eyewear and jewelry."
While the exterior is glass and stone with ivy-covered courtyard, inside you'll find "glass, both mirrored and clear, and sanded and glossy steel, offset by muted pink carpeting and lighting reminiscent of a photographic set." Of the brand's eighth freestanding shop in the U.S., Dolce told the fashion trade: "The interiors are kaleidoscopic. We had fun matching sharp structural elements such as steels and mirrors with more opulent materials like purple velvet.”
