Rose Apodaca gives us more lowdown on the Paper 24-Hour Department Store via La Vie En Rose, as Apodaca and husband Andy Griffith's shop A+R will be participating in the shopping-music-art extravaganza, kicking off tonight at 6pm at 8873 Sunset Boulevard.
First things first, parking: We're pointed to the Sunset City Lot at 8775 Sunset Boulevard, open Friday from 5pm-2:30am for an $8 flat rate, and Saturday from 8am-5pm for $1/hour, Visa/MC accepted.
We also learn the 9,000-square-foot pop-up has been "artfully transformed by Johnston Marklee, the folks behind the Maison Martin Margiela store in Beverly Hills, the Honor Fraser Gallery in Culver City and (one of our favorite eateries) The Hungry Cat in Hollywood." And Levi's will present the 24-Hour Chop Shop, in which artists will create "works on the spot, repurposing denim and God knows what else." All of which sounds worth navigating Friday night Sunset traffic.
