Western inspiration can often go very wrong in fashion, but LA label Cerre is inspiring us with its spring 2009 collection. Part of this is designers Flavie and Clayton Webster's dedication to craftsmanship, with each piece handmade from Italian hides. Another element is the way in which the collection shows restraint in its use of fringe, stitching and lacing, and silver hardware. Meticulous and precisely wrought, along with appealing silhouettes, work toward accomplishing what the brand sets out to do: "creating the antiques of tomorrow." [RackedWire]
