Matthew Williamson left; a look from his spring '09 collection right
We've barely recovered from the excitement of Rei Kawakubo of Comme des Garcons designing for H&M and WWD comes with the news that British designer Matthew Williamson (who exited as Creative Director of Emilio Pucci to focus on his own collection this past September) will "create a women’s collection for April 23 delivery, followed by another range for women and men in mid-May. An H&M spokeswomen said the 'exclusive' women’s range would be carried in about 200 stores, with the second delivery slated for all of its 1,700 stores." With Williamson's focus on bright color, and intriguing prints and texture, we look forward to seeing what's to come, and hope LA is on the list of 200 for the exclusive April 23 women's delivery.
