Window Shopping: Rihanna Tattoos Gucci

With Rihanna as the face of the campaign, Gucci has launched its Tattoo Heart handbag and shoe collection, with 25% of sales going to UNICEF. The campaign has taken up all the Gucci windows at its Beverly Hills store, the pop singer elegantly acrobatic in the poster as a backdrop to bowed, hearted and birdy designs, embossed on each piece. It all seemed very saccharine and blah, until All the Rage pointed out the Ed Hardy resemblance: "Is it possible that Gucci designer Frida Giannini and Ed Hardy maestro Christian Audigier have more in common than a love for retro tattoo art -- which is now as annoyingly ubiquitous as oxygen?
