Party (S)hopping: Stories Bookstore Fetes Opening Saturday Night

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

We hear from Josh Spear that Stories bookstore and cafe is hosting an opening party Saturday, November 15 from 7pm-11pm at 1716 Sunset Boulevard in Echo Park.

Per the blog, the joint effort by Spaceland booker Liz Garo and business partner Claudia Colodro "is a clean, open space with an outdoor patio, exposed brick, and sparking concrete floors that doesn’t feel cluttered even though there’s plenty going on." Expect new and used books, Middle Eastern eats and coffee, and "silk screened Stories bags made on site by Hit & Run." RSVP to liz@storeiesla.com or claudia@storiesla.com.
