Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
We learn from Grazia via BlackBook that we can look forward to lusting after more Rodarte creations: "Fresh off winning the highly coveted Swiss Textiles Award at the Stella Fashion Night in Zurich yesterday, [designers] Laura and Kate Mulleavy...announced they’re branching out...adding handbags and heels to the line, which is synonymous with whimsical, ultra-feminine, painstakingly handcrafted pieces."
Based on the Pasadena-bred label's collab with Christian Louboutin creating sky-reaching heels, the pub has literal and figurative high expectations: "it’s safe to assume Rodarte handbags and shoes will likewise hit big. Another certainty: penny loafers will most definitely not be in the picture."
