Possibly "Aggressive" $100 Mac Discounts

Not to get all bah-humbug, but we can't say we're that enthused about the potential "aggressive" $100 Mac discount come Black Friday. Apple Insider is reporting that to counter low cost notebooks priced at $299 from PC vendors such as Dell, Barclays Capital analyst Ben Reitzes wrote in a report to clients: "We have not seen any Apple Black Friday ads yet (as is customary), but expect the company to be more aggressive than usual in its one-day sale, perhaps with $100 off a few Mac models and discounts on several iPods." It's speculation at this point, but how about at least $299? Now, that would be a response. [Apple Insider]
