Storecasting: American Apparel Melrose Readying for October Opening

American Apparel will be moving from its space at 7763 Melrose Avenue to a much roomier store at 7724 & 7726, which formerly housed a Smart & Final. It looks on target for an October opening; the exterior looks complete and the interior is also coming along. A fortress of spandex and cotton, you can only peek in through small triangular windows, running perpendicular to the shop. Word is the old AA across the street may become a California Select, the retailer's vintage arm.
