Party (S)hopping: Raquel Allegra and Esquivel Shoes Trunk Show Saturday

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Designer Raquel Allegra was an LA Fashion Week stand-out with her carefully wrought spidery dresses, with an intriguing play on transparency.

Now, we find out we get to see her spring '09 collection up close and personal this Saturday, October 25, for a trunk show debuting the Raquel Allegra boot (shown above right), created by Esquivel Shoes and inspired by the designer's latest collection. Handmade and available in 20 different colors and leather types, the boot is calf-length with a low heel and starts at $900.

To see and experience for yourself, go to the Esquivel House studio tomorrow from 10am-5pm at 8309 West 3rd Street, which is located in the alley between Flores and Sweetzer; the easiest way to access is to go through Douglas Fir, as the shop does not mind the traffic. [RackedWire]
