Author, jewelry designer, filmmaker Liz Goldwyn will be screening her documentary on burlesque, Pretty Things, this Sunday at 1pm at LACMA's Bing Theater. The event is free, and a Q&A with Goldwyn will follow, as well as the signing of her book Pretty Things: The Lost Generation of American Burlesque Queens. From Flavorpill, the documentary includes performers such as Betty Rowland, Sherry Britton, Zorita and "combines archival footage and firsthand interviews with these stage mavens to examine burlesque's roaring decades, as well as its eventual decline in the American consciousness."
