Cocktail Wax, which uses imported French waxes in flavors such as chocolate and strawberry, just opened yesterday on an unassuming stretch on La Cienega north of Beverly Boulevard.
We were dashing through, but the pricing seems competitive at $50 for a Brazilian. The staff was very nice and even dabbed a dollop of various waxes on our hand to check it out—it's not as hot as most waxes and the fragrances are very mild and quite pleasant, the strawberry for sensitive skin a pearly pink.
Right now if you pop in you can pick up a postcard which is good for an "eyebrow clean up," valued at $30. We envisioned owner Christina Amrani tall and vavavoom from her photo (pictured in our prior post), but she's petite and lithe, though still blonde and French. Note the salon is open late on Thursdays.
