The Eiffel Tower backdrop, a bike with a flower-filled basket, set the stage for Samora's Springtime in Paris-inspired collection, a mix of floral chiffon, white tweed, fuchsia and black organza and satin, and embroidered linen. Fluttery tiers worked best unfettered on a fuchsia, vibrant green and ivory chiffon wrap dress and on blouses paired with sharply tailored jackets and pants, but less so as a caplet over a green knit dress. A profusion of ruffles also showed up down the front of a high-waisted pencil skirt and down the center of a fuchsia dress. The use of embroidery felt fresh as detail and trim on a cream halter dress and black chiffon top, but fell flat when used as the sole fabrication on dresses and pants.
