Self proclaimed “SupaStar” Rachael M. Broussard held a private show at the Stephen Harvey Art Gallery on Tuesday night to present her Fall ’08 and Spring ’09 collections. She sold $2 raffle tickets to guests, the winning prize being an item of choice from the collection, and hip hop dancers kept the crowd entertained during intermission.

We liked her playful use of asymmetry, plaids, and metallics, but we noticed a few garments seemed to be lacking a proper hem job, and the bedazzled jeans were a bit sloppy. She had some unique ideas to bring to the world of women’s clubwear, so hopefully her craftsmanship catches up with her creativity.
