Of LA-based Italian designer Valerj Pobega's spring '09 line, WWD comments: "Salvador Dalí would have been pleased with Valerj Pobega’s small but focused collection of what the designer called 'wearable art,' consisting of deconstructed, tie-dyed and hand-painted silk dresses." The collection makes us envision a ballerina turned art student who can't find anything to wear to a fancy party and ends up making one and then another and another for herself.
