Arty retailer Q10 played host to up-and-coming label Monn'Amur this weekend. Storeowner Rickmond Wong was pleased to unveil the line, which he described as “women’s wear casual couture.” Designer Frieda Miimura, whose clothing can also be found in Fred Segal Fun in Santa Monica, told Racked she brought in personal items from her living room to make the space vibe with her line.
The flirty, youthful plaids and glitzy sequins played off the quirky framed artwork, and guests really dug the tees and sweatshirts designed with bright neon graphics. Niimura is making full use of Fashion Week and will be showing her spring line on October 15th at Em & Co on West 3rd Street. [RackedWire]
