Welcome to Dress Code, a new feature borrowed from our sister site in which we pick an event in Los Angeles and ask three of our favorite shops to solve the what-do-I-even-wear-to-that dilemma.
A sneak peek at Popkiller's look.
This Sunday, the internet's brightest cat video stars and feline superfans will converge in Exposition Park for the LA Feline Film Festival. Given that the City of Angels can't get enough of kitty-inspired cute overload, we've challenged trendy LA retailer Kitson, kawaii chainlet PopKiller and pet pamperers (who are also sponsoring the event) Pussy & Pooch to dream up their very best (cat) fest-ready looks for today's installment of our Dress Code series.
Below, we bring you three ways to show off your feline fandom for weekend's fur-filled affair. For the first time ever, we've also thrown in styles for your pet pals, too (yep, cats are allowed at the fest). If you're in need of the purrfect (sorry!) sidekick, consider hitting up cat hero Lil Bub's Adopt & Shop party this Saturday.
Where: Kitson, multiple locations
What: Brian Lichtenberg Féline sweatshirt in Black/Gold, $88; Poprageous Grumpy Cat leggings, $85; Wild Cat Flats, $225
Why: The headline-making retailer paid the ultimate homage to the internet's favorite animal with LA designer Brian Lichtenberg's statement-making sweater, which also comes in tees and tanks for decidedly more heat-beating options. LA label Poprageous' Grumpy Cat-emblazoned leggings rounded out the look on Kitson staff member Carolyn.

Where: Popkiller, multiple locations
What: Cat ear headband, $12; Colorful Circle Kitty sunglasses, $12; Cat clutch, $16.80; Popkiller Konichiwa crop top, $26.80, No Limits deadstock striped pants, $18; Model's own shoes
Why: "We're already obsessed with cats and cute so it was a breeze putting an outfit together," Popkiller social media coordinator Sumi Takanashi tells us. She chose a mix of vintage and new pieces for store employee/model wrangler Cara to honor the event's theme. "We just went cat crazy!"
What: Cat ear headband, $12; Brown crazy cat sunglasses, $12; Vintage pink cat shirt, $18; Vintage cheetah print jacket, $45; Vintage yellow striped shorts, $10; model's own shoes
Where: Pussy & Pooch, multiple locations
What: Road Wagz tie, available in-store; Sleepypod Pet Carrier, $185
Why: Pussy & Pooch founder/petrepreneur Janene Zakrajsek took a "simple yet stylish approach with our Hollywood glamour and geek chic business cat looks." Given the hot weather, she opted for this "bipetual" collar that's equally suitable for felines. "As with human styling, have a little fun, mix & match for your animals," she says." We think we got that covered, no?
