It's not every day that the kin of literary royalty whips up a clothing line, let alone a charitable one. Earlier this year, Phoebe Dahl—the 25-year-old granddaughter of legendary children's author Roald Dahl (Matilda, Fantastic Mr. Fox)—launched Faircloth & Supply, a company that donates one school uniform to a girl in Nepal for every garment sold. This past weekend, Dahl opened a Silver Lake pop-up to bring her sustainable styles to the masses. The shop will remain open for the next three weeks, or until product sells out.
Located inside Speedworkz's former space at 3112 West Sunset Boulevard, Faircloth & Supply's temporary home is stacked with hand-crafted, simplified womenswear made of linen and delicate cotton. Shoppers can score the label's summer collection for a discount or, if you're no longer interested in pastels, "Dahl will be on-site to aid in upcycling pieces from summer to winter by dying them into beautiful ominous winter colors upon purchase." Additional garment customizing and even monogramming is offered, too.
