It's been a good year for eco-minded wedding boutique BRIDE. The dollar-stretching dress and accessories shop opened just last summer, quickly earning the praises of vintage-loving brides and swiftly outgrowing its Echo Park digs. Store owner Maria Luciana Diaz launched a successful Kickstarter campaign to help fund her big leap into a larger space, which debuts its eco-friendly doors in Goodhead Salon's former spot this week just west of BRIDE 1.0.
Tripling its original size at 900 square feet, the relocated shop will feature a bigger fitting room and more floor space for stocking a wider selection of wedding gowns from independent designers. In addition to carrying locally- and sustainably-made dresses, Diaz will continue to offer one-of-a-kind vintage and repurposed frocks. The by-appointment boutique's sched is already stacked for August, but BRIDE's cal will be officially open for consultations starting Saturday, September 6.
Wanna toast BRIDE's brand new home? The shop's throwing a grand reopening bash on September 6 from 6pm to 9pm. Expect live tunes and plenty of bubbly to fête the ocassion.
