Los Angeles has more stores than anyone could physically tackle, but somehow we always keep returning to the usual suspects. To break out of the rut, we've asked some local shopping and fashion gurus to provide their hidden retail gems—those unique stores around LA that we might not all know about. Cue the Beatles: We're about to get a little help from our friends.

LA-based sisters Oren and Yarden Katz are the founders and designers of Carbon & Hyde jewelry line. Their collection of edgy, yet versatile pieces burst onto the scene early last year. However, the creative duo comes from a family of jewelry manufacturers and first dipped their toes into designing their own gems at a very young age. That said, it comes to no surprise that when it comes to shopping they gravitate towards shops stocked with pieces as unique as their own. Below, they share their go-to spot for crazy-good, big-ticket style finds.
We love the boutique/art gallery Just One Eye. It's kind of like a Colette Paris had a luxe-industrial flowerchild in Los Angeles. From curated little objects and antiques to crocodile print leather backpacks and sneaker collaborations, it's a wonderland of curated eye candy. We love that it's secretly housed in a stunning historical Art Deco-style building and you would never expect to find a designer's paradise inside for the most discerning of tastes. It's a mix of modern pops of color with dark antiques that create something truly unexpected. As jewelry designers, we especially love walking in to find specialty fine jewelry pieces, such as one-of-a-kind pieces from Cartier and Hermes or a blinged out diamond hand chain that says "FUCK" down the palm. It's just an inspiration to see what kind of trinkets the store even finds. Just One Eye really takes art and luxury to a whole new level. While it's over the top, it's as under the radar as a speakeasy in New York and the best kind of getaway is a secret you have to find.
