Los Angeles has more stores than anyone could physically tackle, but somehow we always keep returning to the usual suspects. To break out of the rut, we've asked some local shopping and fashion gurus to provide their hidden retail gems—those unique stores around LA that we might not all know about. Cue the Beatles: We're about to get a little help from our friends.

Paul C. Witt is the fashion vet behind Wittmore. The carefully curated menswear retailer stocked with cool, modern pieces first stormed onto the scene with an online shop and later expanded with the opening of its first permanent shop on W 3rd Street. When Paul's not holding court on the bustling shopping corridor that is W 3rd Street, he makes his way to the Arts District to explore the nabe's new concept shop and gallery Alchemy Works.
Outside of W 3rd Street, which has many great spots to shop [including] my own men's shop Wittmore, I head down to the Arts District as well. Alchemy Works is a unique lifestyle shop that is one of my favorite new spots to find prints by Will Adler, my favorite new timepiece brand Weiss Watch Company and Stephen Kenn bags, which are made in LA. The laid-back, relaxed atmosphere makes you want to hang out and explore every item inside the space.
