LAX is getting more awesome by the minute. In addition to treating stylish jetsetters some serious retail therapy seshes at the Tom Bradley International Terminal, the airport's also appeasing art-loving frequent flyers with its first-ever Art Walk this weekend. Even better news: there's (almost) no TSA pat down required.
This Saturday and Sunday from 5pm to 7pm both days, tour the major travel hub's public spaces and scope out the works of LA artists, including Jorge Oswaldo's Instagram-happy #LAXPOPPIES, Joyce Dallal's cool collection of handmade paper airplanes and more, all part of the ongoing Influx: Art at LAX exhibit. Oh, there's also a performance art show (no panty-peeking X-ray machines involved). From 7:30pm to 9pm, catch the Sarah Elgart-choreographed Everywhere Nowhere multi-sensory spectacle at LAX's Arrivals level outdoor courtyard between Terminals 1 and 2.
Into it? Some art pieces are viewable in ticketed areas only; to see the installations located past passenger checkpoints, check out the the airport's Art Walk map here.
