This shot of a newly-delivered white fir being held in place by a crane at The Grove was snapped by Racked photog Jesse Fiorino yesterday. Surpassing 100 feet in height, the Grove tree is typically the tallest in the city of Los Angeles. According to a Grove phone operator, the outdoor shopping mall just received the tree and workers are currently readying it for a November 11th lighting ceremony.
The Grove pulled the same pre-Halloween tree erection trick last year. Prior to that, in 2010, CBS reported an arrival date of November 1st, with a lighting event on November 21st; in 2009, per NBC, the tree was trucked in on November 2nd and lit up on the 22nd.
