Los Angeles has more stores than anyone could physically tackle, but somehow we always keep returning to the usual suspects. To break out of the rut, we've asked some local shopping and fashion gurus to provide their hidden retail gems—those unique stores around LA that we might not all know about. Cue the Beatles: We're about to get a little help from our friends.

Brian Alagao is the designer behind Kasil Workshop, a line of denim that prides itself on "innovative silhouettes with classic and authentic tailoring techniques." Kasil Workshop also offers premium denim with specifically made unique washes. We caught up with Brian to learn more about Someone Else’s – his favorite vintage shop in North Hollywood where he recently snagged a perfect Member’s Only jacket.
"I discovered Someone Else’s about 10 years ago when I would visit friends in NoHo. I was instantly drawn to the store when I saw the wall of vintage leather shoes displayed through their front window. The shop is in a great location and it’s in walking distance of EATs (an awesome neighborhood café), and other great shops like Illiad Books and Mid Century LA. I’m not going to say that every time you visit you will find an awesome piece, but I would definitely recommend it as a ‘must visit’ if you’re in the neighborhood. Some of the pieces I’ve found are Levi’s Vintage ‘Stapress’ trousers, a near-mint condition original Member’s Only jacket, several dope vintage wool plaid trousers, and some baby blue vintage lee stretch trouser jeans. But beware: This place is bananas during Halloween!"
