Melrose Avenue mainstay Alpha Man will be closing at the end of the month, reports Cali Apparel News. Shop owner Darren Gold cites the recession and shoppers' changing habits as the reason behind the move.
In an email to CAN, he wrote: “Post recession, many of our best customers have changed their buying patterns—waiting for sales, shopping online or simply not shopping. As the retail landscape redefines itself, there has been a definitive uptick in the last 12 months. However, it is too slow for Alpha to advance in a way that I feel best represents the brand.”
