With less than 48 hours until Zara's grand opening at The Grove, we present some of the more spot-on knock-offs from their fall collection. Newly released images of some of the retailer's FW09 looks reveal both a dress and tuxedo jacket bearing the iconic Balmain big shoulder. A slouchy pair of trousers that easily could have been plucked from Chloe's FW09 runway have also made the cut. And there's a touch of faux fur (the real stuff was also widely incorporated on fall runways) for good measure, as well as a motorcycle-inspired leather jacket alternative to what Alexander Wang is hawking at a significantly harder-to-swallow price point.
Also slated to hit Zara's racks come September, a feather skirt just like the one Louis Vuitton showed for SS09 and puffed up shoulders and tightly cinched waists just like Lanvin debuted for fall. In other words, it's Zara doing what Zara does best.—Alisa Gould-Simon
