Shinola's come a long way from its humble beginnings as a shoe polish—about 2,300 miles, the distance from its home city to its latest outpost on Abbot Kinney. The Detroit-based brand's second LA store opened in Venice last Friday.
Located in the space that previously housed The Stronghold (which relocated next door), the 2,300-square-foot store showcases Shinola's range of American-made bicycles, leather goods, watches, stationery, and more in a gallery-like setting. On top of offering free custom engraving, the boutique will soon feature a listening lounge for testing out Shinola's soon-to-launch audio merch.
Explore more inside boutique in the gallery above; next in line for the label is The Grove (this summer!) and a massive Arts District flagship (sometime later this year).
Shinola Abbot Kinney is open Monday through Saturday from 11am to 7pm and Sunday from 12 to 6pm.
