For a lot of fashion-conscious gals who are hoping to break into the biz, Simply Stylist is a seriously valuable source. Founder Sarah Boyd began the company as a way of connecting those just starting out with industry vets, by way of workshops and conferences hosted by some of the city's most stylish sources. The most epic, annual version of the latter, the "Do What You Love" Fashion and Beauty Conference, takes place Saturday, March 19th, so newbies thirsty for top tips should mark their calendars now.
While last year's conference rounded up Victoria's Secret angel Alessandra Ambrosio and Hills star-turned-designer Whitney Port, this year brings in a whole new superstar panel of pros, led by model/actress/TV host/smizing coach extaordinaire Tyra Banks (we're stifling squeals). Joining Banks will be style savvy reality stars like Lilly Ghalichi (Shahs of Sunset) and Morgan Stewart (Rich Kids of Beverly Hills) and bloggers including Western Wild's Kaitlynn Carter, and the fete will be hosted by E! News's Catt Sadler.
The all-day event takes place at The Grove and tickets start at $50, which gets you access from 3-6pm and includes cocktails, snacks, and even a mani while you soak in knowledge from the speakers. The $350 VIP tickets get guests extended hours (9am-6pm) and all of the aforementioned amenities plus coffee and breakfast, a few more informative sessions to catch, and a serious swag bag, valued at $500. Buy your tickets here and start perfecting the poses you learned from many, many ANTM marathons (we know that wasn't just us) in case you get to snap a selfie with the queen herself.
