MANHATTAN BEACH—For Pointe Studio's inaugural Sanity Not Vanity fitness class last month, the company that brings you the most stylish grip-socks invited five Racked readers to attend a free barre class (headed up by one of this year's Hottest Trainer contestants, Kamilah Barrett!), and for their next in the series—this time at mega-popular SoulCycle—they're doing it again! The first five to send an RSVP to allie@pointe-studio.com will secure a spot for Saturday's complimentary class at the Manhattan Beach studio (820 S Sepulveda Street). Kicking off at 11:45am, this cardio party is guaranteed to have you feeling the burn while you get hyped for the rest of your weekend.
FAIRFAX—Brooklyn-based indie record label Fool's Gold is currently in the midst of their Day Off music festival, which is hitting Los Angeles' Shrine Auditorium this Saturday with artists like BOSCO and Travis Scott. But before the event's crazy-good lineup gets underway, Fool's Gold is getting fans hooked up with cool merch at a pop-up shop from now through Sunday at FourTwoFour (424 N Fairfax Avenue). The hip hop boutique will be touting goods like a Black Scale capsule collection and an Action Bronson collab tee, and at Thursday night's kickoff party from 5-7pm you can catch live acts like SoSuperSam and Kilo Kish. Haven't got tickets yet for Saturday's show? No worries, the pop-up will also have some on-hand.
VENICE—LA brand Buck Mason is bringing their effortless menswear to the west side with a brand new storefront (1638 Abbot Kinney Boulevard), and they're celebrating the occasion this Saturday with a proper opening bash. The shop will open its doors as early as 11am, but if you stop in from 4-8pm you can get in on the complimentary cocktails. And to ensure a customized fit, in-store alterations will be available for purchases throughout the day.
BEVERLY HILLS—As the name would imply, Los Angeles-based womenswear company N:Philanthropy is as serious about giving us gals cool clothes as it is with giving back. The brand, which regularly gives 10% of proceeds to Children's Hospital Los Angeles and spcaLA, is focusing specifically on their animal-loving side this Saturday with a Pet Pampering & Adoption Day at Pussy & Pooch (9388 S Santa Monica Boulevard). During the 12-3pm event, those looking to adopt can meet some adorable four-legged friends who need homes, and those who already have a fur-baby can save 15% on grooming services. Additionally, treats for man and beast will be provided and pet photographer Kim Rodgers will be taking free portraits. Make your reservation by emailing becky@domainmsa.com.
