BEVERLY HILLS—Our very own editor Natalie Alcala founded members-only group Fashion Mamas LA as a network and resource for local moms working in the fashion biz. In addition to connecting with play dates for their little ones, the gang also coordinates events to help motivate and support one another. Enter Sunday's Donate Ride at SoulCycle in Beverly Hills (9465 Wilshire Boulevard). The ladies of FMLA have teamed up with The Mama Circle to host a donation-based ride at the mega-popular indoor cycling studio. There are still a handful of spots left for the 45-minute ride, the proceeds of which will benefit the Alliance of Moms—a group that works with the Alliance of Children's Rights. In addition to a thigh/ab/booty-burning workout, attendees will enjoy post-ride refreshments via Pressed Juicery. Secure your seat and donate here.
WEST HOLLYWOOD—A trio of wordsmithstresses (yeah we made that word up, but just go with it) is at the center of The Standard Hollywood's (8300 Sunset Boulevard) latest cultural event. Poem Store's Jacqueline Suskin is the hotel's new artist-in-residence and the poet/performance artist has wrangled in fellow artists Mandy Kahn and Lola Rose Thompson to share their latest works as a kick-off to her residency this Thursday at 7pm.
