If it's been a hot minute since your last serious staycation, consider heading off the mainland to Catalina Island. The offshore retail, rest, and relaxation destination is undergoing a fancy shmancy makeover (to the tune of $40 million, no less), which includes the massive new Island Catalina Spa.
Located at the historic El Canto building, the 15,000-square-foot rejuvenation haven boasts nine treatment rooms, a healthy café, an on-site boutique filled with resortwear and artisanal products, a wellness studio, and a beauty salon, and an upstairs deck with views of the Pacific Ocean. As far as the menu, expect luxe treatments for women and men, including the anti-aging Sea Oxygen facial ($165 for 80 min.), the detoxifying Seaweed Surrender body wrap ($150 for 50 min.), the cellulite-smoothing Shrink to Fit body treatment ($130 for 50 min.), deep tissue massages ($130 to $175), and more.
In addition to offering suite packages, the spa also houses a host of hair, makeup, and nail services; check out the full menu and pricing here.
Island Catalina Spa is open Sunday through Thursday from 9am to 6pm and Friday and Saturday from 9am to 7pm.
