When we last heard from A.P.C., we were delighted to hear that its two newest LA outposts in Downtown and Silver Lake were opening "before January 2015." Like Aesop (which debuted its DTLA apothecary this year and will open a few doors down from A.P.C. on Sunset), the cult-fave French label is taking it slow with its LA expansion, and we're told both boutiques are expected to open next year.
Per staff at A.P.C.'s Melrose Place shop, the brand's Downtown store will open in spring, followed by Silver Lake, which will open in late spring or early summer next door to Shinola's West Coast flagship. We took a peek inside A.P.C.'s roughly 900-square-foot Eastside digs, where construction crews are now installing shiny new flooring (they tell us it'll look "real nice" when it's done, and we don't disagree). The space was formerly occupied by Gallery 3517 and charming boutique Dustmuffin, which relocated down the street in June.
